Reporting a problem
|
|
Some things which might seem like problems are entirely normal:
Your model is running slowly People with very fast computers might finish their experiment in three to four months. But don't worry if your model is taking longer than that.
Your cooling fan is noisy. This is to be expected - the experiment will make your processor work hard - but it shouldn't do your computer any harm. It's worth gently vacuuming around the outside of the fan air intake occasionally.
Your CPU is showing 100% use This is not a problem - processors are designed to be run full out - as long as you have adequate cooling this shouldn't be a problem.

How to report a problem
The fastest way to report a problem is using the message board
The team (BBC people, project scientists, software coders) is reading this board.
These boards also have a number of very experienced users who can help you with problems.
Even if you'd rather not post here, it's worth searching for other discussions where people with similar problems have asked for advice.
It's also worth checking the Frequently Asked Questions page to see whether your question is answered there.
